We find that being out in nature is the best place to learn. So, we prefer to do our consulting by the beach, listening to you and to the ocean. That is not always possible and often there are other considerations, so we offer alternatives to the beach, such as the local coffee shop or your office or home. We also consult over the phone, via high-speed modem (telecommute/telework), and via e-mail.
Our rate for Consulting is $80/hr plus travel expenses if we need to travel outside of the Olympia, WA area.

Life Consulting
We find that being out in nature is best place to learn more about one’s life and the direction it really wants to go and how it is going to get there. For us, being on the beach, listening to the ocean, is life changing. And, nothing gives us greater joy than to see a person on top of the world, because their life has changed. (And, no, by On top of the World, we do not mean the North Pole.)
Our Eco Journeys offer some life consulting. We also offer Intensive Life Consulting Eco Journeys. Intensive Life Consulting Eco Journeys pack a lot of Life Consulting into one of our normal Eco Journeys. These Intensive Journeys are for when you’re ready to make a major change in your life and are tired of taking baby steps in order to make that change. If you would like an Intensive Journey, look through our 5 day (or longer) Eco Journeys and decide which one you would like to use for this purpose. We require a minimum of two people (you and somebody else) for these Intensive Journeys, and we like to keep the group as small as possible. During these Intensive Journeys, we take care of everything – all meals (we normally only provide two meals per day), lodging (as per normal), flights (we normally don't handle arranging flights to the destination), .... You don’t have to worry about anything. We will spend the day with you, during the night you will be on your own (normally you would have most evenings free). And, although we will be enjoying nature, we will be focusing on changing your life.
We also offer Life Consulting in one-on-one sessions (usually one-hour in length). We prefer to hold these session out in nature when the weather is cooperating. If that is not an option, we prefer to consult in person where we can relax and nibble on some food or enjoy a smoothie (or other drink) together. We are open to other options, including phone consulting.
During our life consulting sessions, we will listen to you and help you answer questions such as, “Who am I?”, “What am I doing here?”, “Who’s going to do this with me?”, and “How are we going to accomplish this?”. These are sometimes not easy questions to answer. They are often harder to answer alone, than with the help of others.
Life Consulting is billed in hourly increments – $80/hr.

Green Car Consulting
In seventh grade I tried to write a research paper on Electric Cars. That didn’t turn out too well, because there was not much information available on electric cars in 1969. I ended up writing about elephants instead (there were no SUV’s in those days). Instead of giving up on electric cars, I continued to find out as much about them as I could. In 2001, I provided some computer help to Hydrogen Now – a non-profit promoting Hydrogen Cells for a variety of applications including cars. Later that year, or the next, my wife and I were priviledged to be in Denver when a hydrogen powered car and two electric cars finished their trip from California. Dennis Weaver climbed out of the hydrogen powered car. Later that day, Dennis gave a speech to the group assembled there, and we were priviledged to be in front row – quite exciting! I’m equally excited about the possibilities for bio-diesel. Our current car has a super-efficient engine and a small (but not too small) body, and gets 43 mpg, and yes, I smile every time I pass a gas station without stopping.
You want to save money on gas. We want to help you. There are many options, but usually only a few that will work best for you. We will listen to what you really want for personal transportation, and help you narrow down your choices. You may end up with an electric car or one that runs on biodiesel, or perhaps a hybrid or just a car that uses less gas. Or you may end up with no car at all and be upgraded to a bike or to walking.
We offer the Green Car Journey where you can learn about some of the options open to you and we also offer individual consulting where we will help you decide on the option that works best for you and help you in locating your new vehicle. If you need financing for your new vehicle, we have friends who can help.

Non-Toxic Living Consulting
Hold your breath no longer! Non-Toxic living is a possibility! OK, so you might have to convince the rest of the world, but greatly reducing the number of toxic chemicals (pollutants) in your life is a goal which you can accomplish. The Salmon will thank you.

We want to help you completely eliminate toxic chemicals from your life, but that may take time and may require reducing the toxic chemicals a few at a time until all are eliminated.
