Yellow Bear Journeys
Servant as Leader Events
You have sooooo much to give! But it’s so easy to get burnt out. First you give a little. Then they ask more. So, you give more. And the loop begins. Finally they ask yet a little more, and it’s just too much. You have no more to give. So, you take a break. A well needed break. And then you start the cycle again.
It is good to give. It is good to serve.
How do you, while serving others, bring them to the point where they don’t need your service anymore? Servant can be a euphemism for Slave. A Slave is one who is bound to another. How can you bind yourself to another and still be free?
For example, how do you serve the earth? Even though many people are slaves to their yards and gardens, the earth doesn’t need us to take care of it. It was doing just fine before humans arrived. Yet, there are simple ways we can help the earth enjoy a richer life. Two examples are Tree Guilds and Edible Forest Gardens.
Our Servant as Leader events, provide you the opportunity to practice leadership while you serve. Since the earth does not request more from you than you have to offer, our Servant as Leader events start with an opportunity to serve the earth. Later that day, we conclude the event by exploring how you can deal with boundaries, how you can lead while serving, and how you can escape the "Keep on Serving" loop. The answers you find will be answers that speak deeply to you. There is no one set of answers. We will help you find the one that is yours.
We will help you switch from Slave to Free Servant to Advocate and Leader.
