here including the South Sound Chapter of the NW Ecobuilding Guild,
Sustainable South Sound, and Climate Solutions.

If you have a little bit of time
free, contact us and we’ll
get together for an EcoTour of Olympia. The length of time needed
for the Tour can be as little as 1/2 hr. Longer Tours are also
available.
This itinerary for this Tour is up to
you. There are several activities you can choose from. Some
activities can be combined with others. Some activities take longer
than others, so it will also depend on how much time you want to
spend on your EcoTour. Green Shopping (Eco-Shopping), Gentle
Hiking, Trip to Mt. Rainier, Trip to the Black Hills, Exploring
Local Parks, Exploring Local Praries, Walks on the Beach (may
require some walking/hiking to get to the beach), Walks along the
Waterfront, Personal Kayak Tour and Training (costs extra and
limited to two people), Shellfish Tour (requires group of 8 or
more). And, don’t forget Eco-Eating

Rhapsody Tours coordinated by the City and County, and the annual
Solar/Green Home Tour which is coordinated by the South Sound
Chapter of the NW Ecobuilding Guild and Solar Washington.
Yellow Bear Journeys is designing an
Organic Plant Day EcoTour in Olympia where we’ll visit
several Organic and Natural Nurseries. This will be an all day
event. We are also designing an event called Beach Massages and
Messages which will be a 1/2 day event.

This Tour is open to all ages.
Children must be accompanied and supervised by adults. This Tour is
limited to 20 people.
How to dress for the Tour, depends on
the activities you select for your Tour and the time of year.
Please come wearing as little fragrance as possible. If you chose
Green Shopping, bring money to cover your shopping.
Cost:
$40 per 1/2 hr; $80 per hour + activity and transportation cost.
The per hour charge is the cost for the entire group (1 to 10
people, maximum $320). For larger groups (10-20 people), the per
hour charge is $120/hr, with a maximum of $480. If you don’t
have a group, but would like to share the cost with others, please
contact us as others may have already contacted us for a similar
EcoTour to the one you are thinking of. There may be additional
costs as mentioned above. These will be detailed when you arrange
the EcoTour.
Transportation: In many cases there will be no additional
transportation costs – we’ll walk or everybody will
provide their own transportation. If there are additional
transportation costs we’ll work that out when you contact us
with your EcoTour request.
Eco-lodging: These Olympia EcoTours are all less than a day long,
so lodging is not included. However, if you need eco-lodging in
Olympia, in conjunction with your Yellow Bear Journeys EcoTour,
please contact us. We know of some great places.
